Colin Dawson is very sad to report the death of Dave Bell, who passed away after an extended illness on 16 February.
“We first met at college in the 1960s and in 1969 formed Fusion Orchestra, with Dave playing drums. Dave and I were founder-members together with Stan Land. Dave was the only original member to play with Fusion Orchestra for the entire life of the band until the final split in 1975.
“We enjoyed many adventures together over the years, touring extensively and recording at Abbey Road in the early ’70s, and had remained lifelong friends since.
